1950-60's era original Bartender's jacket from the Detroit Olympia.
This jacket was acquired, along with most all the items in this collection, from a longtime employee of the Olympia who did maintenance for the Detroit Red Wings Hockey team. This fabulous jacket is a symbol of the elegance on display by all employees of the Detroit Olympia Stadium. I recall my father wearing a similar style jacket when he would work the Mess Hall in Canadian Forces Base, Cold Lake, AB in the 1960's.
Olympia Stadium is embroidered on the left chest. Brass buttons and an accompanying waist clip adorn the front.
A real throw back to what it was like to be in the original six arenas of the 1950-60's.
