1966-67 / 1967-68 WHL SEATTLE TOTEMS # 7 GUYLE FIELDER
GAME WORN JERSEY - TWO CHAMPIONSHIP SEASONS
This jersey was worn by the greatest hockey player in Seattle hockey history and in North American Minor Pro hockey. Fielder is one of three professional hockey players to score more than 2000 points in their careers. The other two being Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky. Fielder played most all of his career in the minor pro league of the WHL during the original six NHL era. He had brief stints in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins.
During his pro career he won three WHL Championships with the Seattle Totems. 1958-59, 66-67 and 67-68.
This jersey was worn during both the 1966-67 and 1967-68 Championship seasons as noted by the combination of the former Associate "A" and the present Captain "C" residing on his left chest.
This jersey is the only Seattle Totems jersey I have witnessed from this era and it was worn by Mr. Seattle Hockey himself, Guyle Fielder. This is quite likely the most significant game worn jersey in WHL hockey history.
