Circa 1921-22 Bob Trapp Edmonton Eskimos Hockey Photo
This amazing sepia toned photo is beautifully displayed in it's original McDermid Studios Ltd. gate fold cabinet measuring 5 X 7 1/2". One of the most beautiful and striking hockey photos I have ever come across from this era.
Bob Trapp was a solid defensman who could also score. In fact he contributed 6 goals in his first season as a Pro with the Edmonton Dominions Hockey Club of the Alberta Big 4 in 1921-22. He then proceed to score 7 goals in his first season with the WCHL Edmonton Eskimos in 1921-22. He played from 1920-25 in Edmonton before being traded to the Portland Rosebuds of the WCHL (Now called the WHL) in 1925-26.
With the folding of the league in 1925-26 the Portland Rosebuds franchise and players became the foundation for the NHL Expansion Chicago Blackhawks of 1926-27. Bob Trapp was an original Chicago Blackhawk playing 44 games in their first season of 1926-27 scoring 4 goals. He played another season in Chicago before finishing his pro career with the AHA Tulsa Oilers from 1928-32 and the AHL Providence Reds from 1931-34.
