GAME WORN JERSEY
Recycled for use by MIKE WEISBECK of the 1976-77 WCHL PORTLAND WINTERHAWKS.
This jersey is a Wilson dureen knit, red with white and black trim. The Gunzo River Forest Illinois with Goalie Logo tag is sewn into the back inner collar. Round shoulder with V-Neck. The chest measures 27" across.
The original loop style fight strap is sewn to the inner back and the base of the left #2. "75" patch is sewn inside the right back hem indicating the year 1975.
The jersey shows evidence of wear in the form of 27 x team repairs. Most of which are material backed. Heavy pilling inside and board burns on the lower body and hem.
Joey Johnston played 11 games in the 1975-76 CHL season with the Dallas Black Hawks wearing #22. This was his last active season of playing professional hockey. He started the 1975-76 season with the NHL Chicago Black Hawks playing in 32 games. His professional career included stints with the NHL Minnesota North Stars 1968/69, and 4 seasons with the NHL California Golden Seals, 1971-75.
